Greetings from the Bluff Park Back Porch, way up yonder on Shades Mountain (1,109′) in Alabama:


We will continue with a discussion of Alabama Geology.  This will probably last from 4-5 weeks.
This article provides a good overview of Alabama Geology.  By Nick Tew and Sandy Ebersole of the Geological Survey of Alabama.

Last Week On the Bluff:

 
–    72 was the high and 27 was the low.
–    Rainfall total on the Bluff was 1.3 inches.
–    Maximum wind gust was 18 mph.  

Metro Birmingham Forecast for the New Week

 
–    69 was the high for Sunday; and 35 is the forecast low.
–    2.5 inches of rain is forecast for the week.
–    Wet at the beginning of the week and cooler by the end of the week.
